Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to the questions our community asks most often about FiveM and the VENICEHUB platform. Can't find what you're looking for? Reach out via the contact page.
What is FiveM and how is it different from GTA Online?+
FiveM is a community-built multiplayer modification for the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V. It runs on dedicated player-owned servers completely separate from Rockstar's official GTA Online infrastructure, which means custom rules, custom maps, custom vehicles and full role-play frameworks like ESX and QBCore are possible. You need a legitimate copy of GTA V on Steam, Epic Games or Rockstar Launcher to use it; FiveM itself is free.
Is FiveM legal? Can my account get banned?+
FiveM uses its own multiplayer client and its own master server list, so it never touches Rockstar's online services. Take-Two's legal team challenged the project briefly in 2015 but the situation has been stable ever since and Cfx.re (the team behind FiveM) was acquired by Rockstar in 2023. Playing FiveM cannot get your GTA Online account banned because the two systems do not communicate.
What server specs do I need for a 64-player FiveM role-play server?+
A modern 4-vCPU machine with 8 GB of RAM, an NVMe disk and at least 1 Gbps network is comfortable for 64 players running a medium-sized framework like QBCore. Single-thread CPU performance matters more than core count because the FiveM server runs most game logic on a single thread. Avoid shared 'FiveM hosting' plans under five dollars per month — they are almost always oversold.
Should I pick QBCore or ESX for a new role-play server?+
For a brand-new server in 2026 with a small team, QBCore is the friendlier choice. The codebase is more modern, the official documentation is more complete and the active script ecosystem skews newer. Pick ESX Legacy only if your team already has years of ESX experience or specifically needs a script that exists only on ESX. Whatever you pick, commit to it for at least six months — switching frameworks mid-flight is one of the most common reasons new servers die.
Where can I download free FiveM scripts safely?+
The safest sources are the official Cfx.re forum, GitHub repositories that are actively maintained, and curated indexes like our own scripts page. Avoid random Discord servers offering paid scripts for free — they almost always contain a backdoor (a 'leak loader') that gives the uploader admin access to any server that installs the script. Always read a script's source code, or at minimum check that the resource manifest only loads files you can see.
How does VENICEHUB make money?+
We sustain hosting and development through three optional revenue streams: a small marketplace for premium creator scripts, an optional Verified membership at $4.99/month that unlocks profile customisation and badges, and tasteful display advertising on a limited number of pages. We never sell user data and we never gate basic community features behind a paywall.
How do I report a bug, a broken script link or an abusive user?+
Use the report button on any post or comment, or contact the team directly through the Contact page. Reports are reviewed by a human moderator within 48 hours. We take piracy, harassment and spam seriously — accounts that repeatedly violate our community guidelines are suspended without refund.
Can I publish my own scripts or tutorials on the platform?+
Yes. Create a free account, add a profile, and you can publish forum posts, share open-source resources and write tutorials immediately. To list a paid script in the marketplace you need to apply for creator status — the application asks for two examples of previously published work and is usually reviewed within a week.
Do you support languages other than English?+
The interface is available in English and Arabic. Many of our blog articles are published in both languages, with translations reviewed by a native-speaker editor. If you would like to contribute translations into another language, get in touch via the Contact page.
Why does the site sometimes show 'this page is not ready to show ads'?+
While the site is under Google AdSense review we have temporarily disabled all advertising. The placeholder messaging you might see in browser developer tools comes from Google's own scripts and disappears automatically once the review is approved.
